Beamo USB Flash Drives Editorial Review
** Beamo Ubuntu Desktop 24.04.1 LTS Bootable USB Flash Drive** The Beamo Ubuntu Desktop 24.04.1 LTS Bootable USB Flash Drive has garnered a mixed reception from users, particularly highlighting its installation performance and overall utility. Many customers have experienced difficulties installing Ubuntu alongside Windows 10, with some reporting failures during the installation process. However, those who opted for a complete installation on a dedicated hard drive have praised Ubuntu for its speed and user-friendly interface. Notably, many users appreciate the transition from Windows to Ubuntu, citing improved performance and a more streamlined experience free from background processes they found cumbersome in Windows. The drive itself functions well as a storage device, with sequential read and write speeds reaching around 28 MB/s, placing it at the high end of the USB 2.0 performance spectrum. This characteristic makes it suitable for transferring large files efficiently. However, its performance falters with random read and write tasks, a limitation common among USB 2.0 drives, making it less ideal for those who frequently handle smaller files or require running applications. Overall, while the Beamo Ubuntu USB flash drive excels in specific aspects such as speed for large file transfers and installation for users committed to switching to Ubuntu, it may fall short for those looking for a more versatile utility across various file sizes and operating conditions. **
