YAESU Two-Way Radios Editorial Review
The Yaesu CT-39A Packet Interface Cable CT-39 is a well-made product. Its molded strain relief on the end with the flying leads is helpful. However, users may have difficulty figuring out the black leads, as there is no documentation included. Some users struggled with the cable being wired incorrectly, and one experienced difficulty with miswiring, which was eventually resolved by discovering that the picture on the package was not orientated to mimic the back of the radio properly. Some customers have stated that the cable isn't optimum for ham radio use, as the audio line(s) aren't individually shielded. Conversely, one customer said that the product worked fantastically.
